Technical Assessment

True IP66 indoor/outdoor rating and a wide -25C to 45C operating range distinguish it from the indoor-only C225, at the cost of no pan/tilt motor and a smaller, lower-res sensor. No Apple HomeKit support confirmed, unlike the C225.

Performance

Professional coverage supports crisp 2K video, useful free detection and strong local-storage value. The fixed lens is simple and dependable but cannot cover a whole room like a pan/tilt model.

Reliability and Ownership

Independent testing and the mature Tapo app support a positive usability assessment; comparable long-term failure data was not located.
