Pricing
- Free — $0 — 5 build credits a day (up to 30 a month), public and private projects, Lovable branding, no custom domain
- Pro — $25/mo or $21/mo billed annually — 100 monthly credits plus 5 daily credits, custom domains, branding removal, unlimited workspace members; higher credit tiers available
- Business — $50/mo or $42/mo billed annually — 100 monthly credits plus daily credits, SSO, design templates, data excluded from AI training by default
- Enterprise — custom pricing — volume-based credits and contract terms
Founders and non-technical teams who want to turn an idea into a working web app or MVP quickly and keep the option to export the code.
Teams that need native mobile apps or predictable costs for long, iteration-heavy builds.
How it scored
- AI app building: 90/100. Reviewers report that a first prompt produces a multi-screen app with logins and a database and that follow-up prompts update it without rebuilding, though complex backend logic can need review.
- Launch & scale: 80/100. Hosting, a built-in backend, custom domains and GitHub export are included, but it builds web apps only.
- Value: 70/100. Pro at $25/mo includes 100 credits plus daily credits, which users say can go quickly during heavy iteration.
- Privacy & reliability: 80/100. It says Business and Enterprise data is not used for AI training and that Free and Pro users can opt out in settings, with SSO on Business and above.
- Expert & User Ratings: 90/100. Reviewers often place it at or near the top for non-coders, and users rate it highly while citing credit use as the main complaint.
Our verdict
Lovable ranks first: reviewers find it turns a plain-English prompt into a multi-screen web app with logins and a database more reliably than most rivals, and built-in hosting, custom domains and GitHub code export make it easy to launch and move on. Credits can run out quickly while you refine or fix bugs, and it builds web apps only, not native mobile apps.
- Builds multi-screen apps with logins and a database from a first prompt, according to reviewers
- Exportable code with GitHub sync reduces lock-in
- Hosting, backend and custom domains are built in
- Credits can run out quickly while refining or debugging
- Web apps only, with no native mobile output
- Users report occasional bugs and broken output that take several prompts to fix
- Pro includes 100 monthly credits plus 5 daily credits; small edits cost under one credit, larger features cost more, and extra credits on Pro cost $15 per 50.
- Unused monthly credits roll over while the subscription is active but expire after two months on monthly plans.
- The free plan shows a Lovable branding and does not allow a custom domain; annual billing gives two months free.

- Business — $329/mo billed annually or $395 monthly — 3 builders, 30 team and 100 client users, 1M records, 100 AI credits/mo; Enterprise is custom
Small and midsize teams that want a secure client portal or internal tool on top of their own data without writing code.
Founders who need native App Store apps, highly custom designs or complex multi-step logic.
How it scored
- AI app building: 80/100. It builds pages, a database, permissions and workflows from a prompt and lets non-coders refine them visually, though its block-based layouts limit complex logic.
- Launch & scale: 80/100. Hosting, a built-in database, user logins, SSO and many data connections are included, but mobile use is through a PWA rather than app stores.
- Value: 70/100. Entry plans are affordable, but small AI credit allowances and per-user charges raise costs as apps grow.
- Privacy & reliability: 80/100. Softr says it holds SOC 2 Type II, offers EU or US data residency and provides SSO on Enterprise, but it does not clearly state how AI features use your data.
- Expert & User Ratings: 90/100. Reviewers often single it out for ease of use and speed, and users rate it highly.
Our verdict
Softr ranks second: its AI builds pages, data, permissions and workflows together from one prompt, it connects to business data you already have, and users rate it among the easiest tools here to learn. Block-based layouts limit custom design and complex logic, and AI credit allowances are small on the lower plans.
- Generates pages, data, permissions and workflows together from one prompt
- Connects to many existing data sources without a migration
- Users describe it as easy to learn and rate its support highly
- Block-based layouts limit custom design and complex logic
- Small monthly AI credit allowances on lower plans
- Extra builders and app users add monthly costs
- AI credits are small on lower plans (10 a month on Basic), reset monthly, and AI features pause when they run out unless you buy a recurring credit add-on.
- Plans now price team users and client users separately, and users beyond your allowance are billed automatically after a 7-day grace period.
- Annual billing costs less than monthly, and extra builders cost $6 to $24 a month each depending on the plan.

- Team — $549/mo billed annually — 500K workload units, 5 editors, 20 mobile build submissions a month and 8 live app versions; Enterprise on request
Non-technical founders and teams who want to build a complete, customizable web or mobile app and are willing to learn a detailed visual editor.
People who want a quick, prompt-only build with no learning curve, or who need predictable costs for high-traffic apps.
How it scored
- AI app building: 80/100. Bubble AI drafts a full app with pages, database and workflows, and its AI Agent and visual editor allow detailed refinement, though users describe a steep learning curve for non-coders.
- Launch & scale: 90/100. Hosting, database, user logins, web and native mobile publishing, custom domains and a broad set of integrations are built in, but apps cannot be exported or self-hosted.
- Value: 60/100. Paid plans start at $59/mo billed annually, and users say workload-unit usage can push costs up quickly for busy apps.
- Privacy & reliability: 70/100. Bubble says it may use inputs and outputs from its AI tools to improve them and states SOC 2 Type II compliance; published apps and the editor were briefly unavailable on June 30 and July 24, 2026.
- Expert & User Ratings: 90/100. Reviewers regularly include it among top no-code app builders, especially for MVPs, and users rate it highly while flagging cost and complexity.
Our verdict
Bubble ranks third: its AI produces a full starting app that you keep building visually, with web and native mobile apps from one back end and deep control over data and logic. It takes longer to learn than most tools here, workload-based pricing makes costs hard to predict, and apps must stay on Bubble’s hosting.
- AI builds a starting app with pages, database and workflows that you can then edit visually
- Web and native mobile apps from one back end, with hosting and database included
- Deep control over logic, data privacy rules and integrations
- Steep learning curve for complex workflows and responsive layouts, according to users
- Workload-unit usage makes production costs hard to predict
- Apps run only on Bubble’s hosting, with no self-hosting option
- Every plan includes a monthly allowance of workload units; extra usage can be paid as you go or covered by add-on tiers from $26/mo billed annually, and pay-as-you-go overages can be turned off.
- The free plan is for building and testing only, so publishing a live app or using a custom domain requires a paid plan.
- Paid plans are listed with annual billing; month-to-month billing costs more.
- Outage: On June 30, 2026, Bubble apps and the editor were unavailable for about an hour, and on August 25, 2026, some apps could not display their data for about two hours.

AI app builder (agent-based)
Best For: Builders who want an AI agent to build, test and deploy full apps in one place
Price: Free plan; paid from $20/mo ($18/mo billed annually)
Replit is a browser-based platform where Replit Agent builds apps from a plain-English description and then hosts and runs them. Reviewers know it for an agent that tests and fixes its own errors and for built-in databases, logins and deployment, with a busier interface than simpler builders.

- Built-in database, authentication, hosting and monitoring with no setup
- Publishing with custom domains you own or buy through Replit
- 100+ integrations, including Stripe, OpenAI and Google Workspace
- Infinite Canvas for exploring designs visually and applying them to the app
Pricing
- Starter — $0 — limited Agent use and one published project
- Core — $20/mo or $18/mo billed annually — $20 of credits for advanced models, Free Mode chat, unlimited workspaces
- Pro — $100/mo or $90/mo billed annually — $100 of credits, 10 parallel agents, up to 15 collaborators, 28-day database rollback, premium support
- Enterprise — custom pricing — SSO/SAML, advanced privacy controls, single-tenant environments
Founders and teams who want one place to build, run and scale a full app with an autonomous AI agent.
Beginners on a fixed budget, since agent work is billed by usage and the interface can feel complex.
How it scored
- AI app building: 80/100. Reviewers say its agent fixes errors on its own mid-build, though users also report fix loops and an interface that is harder for non-coders.
- Launch & scale: 90/100. Hosting, databases, logins, custom domains and more than 100 integrations are built in, with database rollback and enterprise options for larger apps.
- Value: 60/100. Core at $20/mo includes $20 of credits, but usage-based agent billing means long builds can cost more than expected.
- Privacy & reliability: 60/100. It says Enterprise content is not used to train its models and Pro users can opt out, and it reported production database problems lasting about five hours on May 9, 2026.
- Expert & User Ratings: 80/100. Reviewers often recommend it for scaling and autonomous building, while users give mixed ratings centered on billing and agent reliability.
Our verdict
Replit ranks fourth: its agent builds, tests and deploys full apps with the database, logins and hosting built in, and reviewers say it catches many of its own errors along the way. Usage-based billing can climb on long builds, and its busier interface suits confident builders more than complete beginners.
- Agent catches and fixes many of its own errors during a build, according to reviewers
- Database, logins, hosting and deployment are built in
- Wide integration support and room to scale with Pro and Enterprise
- Usage-based billing can climb quickly on longer builds
- Users report the agent looping on fixes or stopping partway
- Interface can feel overwhelming for non-technical users
- Paid plans include a dollar amount of credits each month, and agent work beyond that is billed by usage, so set spending limits before long builds.
- The free Starter plan lets you publish only one live project.
- Customer content can be used to improve Replit’s models unless you opt out; Pro users can turn this off in settings and Enterprise content is excluded.
- Price change: In February 2026, Replit lowered Core from $25 to $20 a month for existing subscribers at renewal and retired its Teams plan, moving Teams customers to Pro at no extra cost for the rest of their term.
- Outage: On May 9, 2026, Replit reported production database connectivity problems that lasted about five hours.

- Growth — $80/mo for the first seat, $55 for a second — up to 2 seats, 200 AI requests a month
- Business — $150/mo for the first seat, $85 each for seats 2–5 — up to 5 seats, 500 AI requests a month
Startups and teams that want native mobile apps built visually, with the option to take the code elsewhere later.
Non-coders who want to describe an app and get a working back end and logic without learning app-building concepts.
How it scored
- AI app building: 70/100. Its AI turns descriptions into editable pages and components and an agent can build screens, but reviewers say non-coders still need to learn state management and logic.
- Launch & scale: 90/100. It builds native iOS, Android and web apps, deploys to the app stores, connects to Firebase and other services, and lets paid users download the full code.
- Value: 70/100. Paid plans start at $39/mo with code export included, though team seats and AI request caps raise costs for heavier use.
- Privacy & reliability: 70/100. Its AI page does not say whether project data is used for model training, and in 2025 it moved existing subscribers onto new plans and prices.
- Expert & User Ratings: 80/100. Reviewers regularly list it among leading app builders for mobile MVPs, and users rate it well while noting a learning curve.
Our verdict
FlutterFlow ranks fifth: it is a strong choice for native iOS and Android apps, with app store deployment and code download from its entry plan. Its AI only generates pages and components, and reviewers say complex logic needs some technical skill.
- Native iOS, Android and web apps from one visual project
- Flutter code download on every paid plan reduces lock-in
- AI generates pages and components as editable widgets rather than raw code
- Reviewers say state management and complex logic involve a steep learning curve for non-coders
- AI generation requests are capped each month, with only five in total on the free plan
- Users report the editor slowing down on larger projects
- Code download and app store deployment start on the $39/mo Basic plan; the free plan cannot export code or publish to the stores.
- Growth and Business are priced per seat, and annual billing is cheaper than paying monthly.
- The AI Agent panel works through your own Claude, Codex, Antigravity or Gemini account, so you need a separate account with one of those services to use it.
- Price change: In August 2025, FlutterFlow replaced its Standard, Pro and Teams plans with new Basic, Growth and Business plans, moving existing subscribers who did not choose by mid-September 2025 automatically, with new prices applied at their next renewal.

Companies already using Microsoft 365 that want staff to build governed internal apps on company data.
Solo founders or startups building consumer apps for the public or for the app stores.
How it scored
- AI app building: 70/100. Copilot and the preview vibe experience build apps with data models from a description, but the newest builder has preview limits and the platform asks more of non-coders than simpler tools.
- Launch & scale: 80/100. It scales well inside organizations with Dataverse, many connectors and governance tools, but it is aimed at internal apps rather than public or app store releases.
- Value: 70/100. The per-user price is reasonable for internal teams already on Microsoft 365, but costs add up with headcount and extra storage.
- Privacy & reliability: 80/100. Microsoft says Copilot prompts and responses are not used to train models unless a tenant admin opts in, though some customers on the retired per app plan must switch plans at renewal.
- Expert & User Ratings: 80/100. Reviewers recommend it for creating and editing apps with AI, and users rate it well.
Our verdict
Microsoft Power Apps ranks sixth: Copilot builds business apps with data tables from a description, and it fits closely with Microsoft 365 and strong admin controls. Per-user licensing adds up for large audiences, and its newest AI builder is still in preview.
- Copilot and the vibe experience generate apps with data models from a description
- Wide range of connectors and close integration with Microsoft 365
- Strong admin, governance and data protection controls
- Per-user licensing gets expensive for large or external audiences
- Steeper learning curve than simpler no-code tools
- The newest AI builder is in preview, English-only and has limits
- The free Developer plan is for building and testing only; running apps for real users requires Premium or pay-as-you-go licensing.
- Premium is priced per user and billed annually, and extra Dataverse storage is sold separately.
- The vibe experience must be enabled by an admin in some environments, and its apps cannot be edited as classic canvas or model-driven apps.
- Price change: In January 2026, Microsoft stopped selling the Power Apps per app plan to new customers through most channels, and some volume-licensing customers must move to Premium or pay-as-you-go when their agreements end.

Projects with complex custom logic or many outside integrations, or teams that need native mobile apps.
How it scored
- AI app building: 80/100. Reviewers say it builds apps with a database and logins from a prompt with no setup, but feels limiting as logic gets complex, and users report error loops.
- Launch & scale: 70/100. Hosting, database, logins, built-in payments, GitHub export and app store files are available, though integrations beyond its core set are limited and mobile apps are web wrappers.
- Value: 70/100. Starter at $20/mo includes 100 message credits, but custom domains and code export need the $50/mo Builder plan.
- Privacy & reliability: 70/100. It says data on non-Enterprise plans can be used to train AI models, while Enterprise data is excluded, and it holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications.

Our verdict
Base44 ranks seventh: it gives beginners a working app with a database, logins and hosting from a chat prompt, with no setup at all. Reviewers find it constraining for complex logic and outside integrations, and data on non-Enterprise plans can be used to train AI models.
- Database, logins, hosting and deployment work with no setup
- Discuss Mode and visual editing help non-coders plan and refine
- GitHub sync exports the full source code on Builder and above
- Reviewers find it constraining for complex logic and outside integrations
- Users report credits running out while the AI fixes errors
- Mobile apps are web wrappers rather than native apps
- Message credits are spent on each AI request, and users say they go quickly during debugging; the free plan includes 25 a month.
- Custom domains, GitHub sync and mobile app store files require the Builder plan ($50/mo, or $40/mo billed annually) or higher.
- Publishing to the App Store or Google Play requires your own paid Apple Developer and Google Play developer accounts, and you submit the apps yourself.

Beginners and small businesses who want to launch a simple app or web tool cheaply without managing separate hosting.
Teams building complex apps that need native mobile releases or reliable fixes for tricky bugs.
How it scored
- AI app building: 70/100. It builds full-stack apps with logins and data from a prompt and is easy for beginners, but testers report getting stuck in fix loops on more complex features.
- Launch & scale: 70/100. Hosting, domain, email, a backend and payments come bundled, though integrations are narrower and there is no app store publishing.
- Value: 80/100. Low monthly prices with hosting included make it cheap to start, but credit allowances are small and prices assume a 12-month term.
- Privacy & reliability: 80/100. Hostinger says it does not use your prompts or project data to train its models and that what you build remains yours.
- Expert & User Ratings: 80/100. Reviewers often rank it highly for beginners and value, and users rate it well.
Our verdict
Hostinger Horizons ranks eighth: it has the lowest entry price on this page and bundles hosting, a domain, email and a backend for first-time builders. Testers report bug-fix loops that use up its small credit allowances, and exported code can’t be brought back for AI editing.
- Low entry price with hosting, domain and email included
- Asks clarifying questions before building and is easy for beginners
- Built-in backend, user accounts and payments
- Testers report bug-fix loops that consume credits
- Small monthly credit allowances on lower plans
- Exported code becomes a static site that cannot be brought back for AI editing
- Advertised prices require a 12-month upfront term, and monthly AI credits are limited (30 on Explorer, 70 on Starter).
- The free trial includes only 5 AI credits and no hosting or domain, so you need a paid plan to publish.
- You can download the full source code, but the export cannot be re-imported for further prompt-based editing.

Builders who need native App Store apps, built-in payments or complex custom logic.
How it scored
- AI app building: 70/100. Its AI agent builds screens and workflows from a spreadsheet or prompt, but the builder is new and users report it does not always produce what they asked for.
- Launch & scale: 70/100. It connects to many data sources and runs on desktop and mobile browsers, but it lacks app store publishing, built-in payments and code export.
- Value: 70/100. Entry plans are moderately priced, but limited credits, few published apps and member-based pricing raise costs for larger teams.
- Privacy & reliability: 70/100. Glide uses app configuration data, but not app content, to improve its AI unless a team admin opts out, and on August 28, 2025 its builder and apps were unavailable for about three hours.
- Expert & User Ratings: 80/100. Reviewers regularly include it among leading no-code app builders and users rate it well, especially for ease of use.
Our verdict
Glide ranks ninth: it is quick to turn spreadsheet data into polished internal apps, and users find the builder intuitive for non-technical staff. Its AI builder is newer than most rivals’, credit use per message is hard to predict, and it can’t publish to the app stores.
- Fast to turn existing spreadsheet data into a working app
- Users describe the builder as intuitive for non-technical staff
- Wide range of data connections, from Google Sheets to Snowflake
- No publishing to the Apple App Store or Google Play
- AI credit use per message is hard to predict
- Public apps and higher limits require pricier plans
- GlideOS charges credits for AI building and in-app AI features; heavier agent modes use several times more credits per message, and monthly credits do not roll over.
- Apps on the Basic plan can only be opened by members of your organization; public apps start on Plus.
- GlideOS and Glide Classic are separate products with separate plans, and GlideOS cannot open existing Classic apps.
- Outage: On August 28, 2025, the Glide builder and published apps were unavailable for about three hours.

People with some technical comfort who want to generate a web app quickly and keep full control of the code.
Non-coders who want the AI to handle backend setup and debugging without touching code.
How it scored
- AI app building: 70/100. Reviewers credit its code control and context retention, but say backend setup is less smooth for non-coders and users report error-fix loops that use up tokens.
- Launch & scale: 80/100. Bolt Cloud covers hosting, databases, logins and custom domains, with GitHub and Figma as starting points.
- Value: 70/100. Pro at $25/mo starts at 10M tokens with one month of rollover, though users say tokens can go quickly when the AI repeatedly fixes errors.
- Privacy & reliability: 80/100. Since October 7, 2026, its policy allows prompts, outputs and project files to be used to train its own models by default, with a free opt-out in account settings.
- Expert & User Ratings: 60/100. Reviewers mainly recommend it for developers who want code control, and user ratings are low, with complaints about token use and support.
Our verdict
Bolt.new ranks tenth: it builds full-stack apps quickly with visible, editable code, built-in hosting and databases, and support for several frameworks. Reviewers find its code-forward interface harder for non-coders, and users report tokens running out in error-fix loops.
- Generated code is visible, editable and works across several frameworks
- Built-in hosting, databases and logins through Bolt Cloud
- Can start from Figma designs or an existing GitHub repository
- Users report tokens being used up quickly in error-fix loops
- Reviewers find the code-forward interface harder for non-coders
- Users rate its support and reliability poorly
- Usage is measured in tokens; the free plan is capped at 300K a day and 1M a month, and paid tokens roll over for one extra month only while you stay subscribed.
- Annual billing costs less than monthly, but the pricing page does not list the annual prices.
- Since October 7, 2026, prompts, outputs and project files can be used to train Bolt’s own models unless you opt out in account settings.

How to Choose
Start with the kind of app you need
A customer-facing web app, a native mobile app, an internal tool and a client portal suit different builders. Chat-first tools are fastest for web app prototypes, visual builders give more control over logic, and only some tools publish native apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Test the AI on your real idea
Describe your actual app, then ask for changes, such as a new field, a user role or a payment step. The best builders keep the app working as you refine it; weaker ones break existing features or get stuck in fix-and-retry loops.
Check where your data will live
Some tools include their own database and logins, while others build on data you already keep in spreadsheets, Airtable, SQL or Microsoft 365. Make sure the builder connects to the systems your app needs without a costly migration.
Work out the real monthly cost
Most builders meter AI use with credits, messages, tokens or workload units, and fixing bugs uses them up too. Estimate how much you will build and how many users and records you expect, then check overage and top-up prices before you commit.
Think about lock-in early
Some tools let you export the code or sync it to GitHub, while others run your app only on their own hosting. If you may hire developers or move platforms later, an export option can save a rebuild.
Keep a person in charge of the result
AI-built apps still need testing before real users rely on them, especially logins, payments and anything that stores personal data. It is also worth reading how each tool uses your prompts and app data, since some use them to train AI by default and others don’t.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know how to code to use these tools?
No. All of the tools on this page let you build by describing what you want and adjusting it with prompts or a visual editor. Some, such as Bolt.new, FlutterFlow and Replit, show the code and are easier if you have some technical background, while Softr, Lovable and Base44 are aimed at people who never want to see code.
Can I publish my app to the Apple App Store and Google Play?
Some tools can. FlutterFlow and Bubble build native mobile apps and support app store publishing on paid plans, while Lovable, Glide and Softr produce web apps that run in a browser. Publishing to the app stores also needs your own Apple and Google developer accounts, which have separate fees.
Why do AI app builders’ costs vary so much?
Most charge for AI use in credits, messages, tokens or workload units on top of the plan price, and every change or bug fix uses some up. A small app may fit the entry plan, but a larger build with many users and records can need a higher tier or extra top-ups, so check the limits before you start.
Do these tools use my app data to train AI?
It varies. Hostinger says it does not use your prompts or project data to train its models, Microsoft says Copilot prompts are not used for training unless an admin opts in, and Lovable lets Free and Pro users opt out. Base44 says data on non-Enterprise plans can be used for training, and Bolt.new uses project content for training unless you opt out in settings.
How are these different from AI website builders?
This page ranks tools for building working apps with user logins, data and logic, such as portals, internal tools, marketplaces and SaaS products. AI website builders focus on marketing sites and content pages, and AI landing page builders focus on single campaign pages, so we rank those separately.
How We Evaluated
Every Flickthru ranking follows the same five-step process, applied the same way to every product on the page.
- Market scan: We gathered the 22 platforms recommended across current expert reviews, buyer guides and verified-user ratings, then shortlisted the 10 that best fit this category and offer their own built-in AI.
- Evidence gathering: For each shortlisted product we collected features, plans and current pricing from the vendor, alongside the strengths and weaknesses reported in recent expert reviews.
- Risk checks: We checked every product for recent price changes and service reliability. Anything relevant is summarised in the product’s Detailed Analysis and reflected in its score.
- Scoring: Each product is scored against the five criteria in our Evaluation Methodology using the same rules for every product, and the Flickthru Score out of 100 combines them. AI app building, the main job these tools do, counts most. Value is judged on what the paid plans deliver for their price. Each product’s Detailed Analysis explains how it scored on every criterion. Each criterion is scored from 1 to 10, where 8 means good, 9 very good and 10 excellent.
- Editorial independence: Rankings are decided by Flickthru’s editorial process alone. Placement cannot be bought.
