Game Launch Fixer

Game won’t launch, stuck on loading, or kicked by anti-cheat? Game Launch Fixer scans your game and your PC in under a minute, then explains what’s wrong in plain English, with step-by-step fixes.

Free · Windows 10 and 11 · Read-only: never changes your files

Checks games from Steam, the Xbox app (PC Game Pass), Epic Games, Battle.net, the EA app, Ubisoft Connect and the BSG Launcher.

What it checks

The usual reasons games won’t start, all in one scan.

Damaged game files

Empty or half-downloaded files, leftovers from interrupted updates and mod files that anti-cheat blocks.

Anti-cheat

Whether Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye, EA Javelin or Call of Duty’s Ricochet is installed, switched on and set up correctly, plus Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 for games that need them.

Slow hard drives

Spots games installed on a spinning hard drive, and tells you if you already have an SSD you can move them to for free.

Memory and storage

RAM, the Windows page file and free disk space, which are common causes of hanging while loading.

Clashing software

Overlays, RGB tools and programs that anti-cheat is known to block or clash with.

Laptops and logs

Battery, battery saver and power mode on laptops, plus the latest errors from the game’s and anti-cheat’s own logs.

Works with

Finds your games automatically.

Steam, the Xbox app (PC Game Pass), Epic Games, Battle.net, the EA app, Ubisoft Connect and the BSG Launcher. Each result gives fix steps for the launcher you use, such as Steam’s Verify integrity or the Xbox app’s Verify and repair.

Extra checks for Rust, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Call of Duty (including Modern Warfare 4, Black Ops 7 and Black Ops 6), EA SPORTS FC 26, Battlefield 6, Battlefield 2042, Dead by Daylight, Elden Ring, The Finals, Rainbow Six Siege, DayZ, Arma 3, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Escape from Tarkov. Every other game still gets the full general scan.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. Open Game Launch Fixer and pick the game that’s giving you trouble.
  2. Press Scan. It takes under a minute.
  3. Follow the plain-English fixes. Save or copy the report if you want to ask for help on a forum.
Safe by design

Game Launch Fixer only reads. It never changes, deletes or modifies your game files or anti-cheat, and nothing is sent anywhere. Read the privacy policy.

FAQ

Common questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There are no ads, accounts or paid upgrades. If a scan shows an upgrade would genuinely help, it links to a Flickthru ranking, and the free fix is always shown first.

Can it get me banned?

Game Launch Fixer is read-only and doesn’t run alongside your game. It never touches game memory, injects anything or changes anti-cheat files. It simply reads files and settings, much like File Explorer does. You can close it before you play.

Does it fix the problem for me?

It tells you exactly what’s wrong and how to fix it, step by step. It doesn’t change anything itself, so nothing happens on your PC without you choosing it.

Which Windows versions does it work on?

Windows 10 and Windows 11, on desktops and laptops.

My game isn’t listed. Can I still scan it?

Game Launch Fixer finds games installed through Steam, Epic Games, Battle.net, the EA app, Ubisoft Connect, the BSG Launcher and the Xbox app (PC Game Pass). If you’ve just installed a game, close and reopen the app.

Game Launch Fixer is not affiliated with Epic Games, Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye, Electronic Arts or Activision.
